The Tarrazu region provides for the perfect growing conditions with fertile volcanic soil, the high altitudes ( 4000- 6500 ) and the cool climate resulting in a full-bodied richness with excellent acidity. Coffee's grown at this altitude and graded level 1, that being the ultimate in quality, are called/graded Strictly Hard Bean(SHB). Terra American only sell SHB
Costa Rica is known for its brightness, body, and clarity in a brewed cup. Brewing this bean is terrific to the nose, and will fill your house with the freshness of the coffee. These beans have the largest "sweet spot" of all our coffee, and we use The Tarrazu for our "Darkside" dark roast.
