The DarkSide is our only Dark Roast. We use Costa Rican Tarrazu beans to provide a tasty bean that will hold up to the higher temperatures of a dark roast. TAC for the longest time would not roast coffee to the temperatures of a dark roast. Naturally, because the higher temperatures would cover the natural flavoring of the beans, leaving only the taste of the roast, and that can be had at almost any local coffee shop.
Until we found the Tarrazu bean from Coast Rica, this bean will still maintain characteristics of its region and local flavors while allowing the darker roast flavor to blend subtly with its character. If you're a dark roast fan, then this coffee is the one you are looking for, and you will be hooked. I'll apologize now because THe DarkSide will become the benchmark of your future coffee selections.
